Russian Central Bank first deputy chairman Alexei Ulyukayev has been appointed Russia’s minister of economic development, the Kremlin press office reported on Monday.

Incumbent economic development minister Andrei Belousov, who has served in the post for just over one year, has been appointed as aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin press office said.

Belousov will assume the post previously held by Elvira Nabiullina, who takes up her post as Russia’s Central Bank head from June 24.
