38 per cent voters rated the Rousseff’s Workers Party (PT) government as “excellent” or “good” up 6 per cent from July. The disapproval rate of Rousseff’s government fell six points in the last 30 days.
This was the highest rating of the PT government since April. An elated Rousseff tweeted “Bom Dilma” in Portuguese meaning “good” or “praiseworthy” Dilma, on Monday morning after the poll results were revealed.
The percentage of voters who said the Dilma administration delivered “average” management remained unaltered from July at 38 per cent.
The poll has a plus or minus 2 percentage point margin of error.
The poll results published on Monday showed Campos’ running mate, Marina Silva, statistically tied with Rousseff in a runoff.
Silva had 47 per cent support compared with 43 per cent for Rousseff in a potential second-round vote, said the poll by DataFolha.
The first round of presidential voting in Brazil is slated for 5th October.
The survey was conducted on 14 and 15 August, with 2,843 people in 176 municipalities.

57 founding members, many of them prominent US allies, will sign into creation the China-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank on Monday, the first major global financial instrument independent from the Bretton Woods system.
Representatives of the countries will meet in Beijing on Monday to sign an agreement of the bank, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Thursday. All the five BRICS countries are also joining the new infrastructure investment bank.
The agreement on the $100 billion AIIB will then have to be ratified by the parliaments of the founding members, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said at a daily press briefing in Beijing.
The AIIB is also the first major multilateral development bank in a generation that provides an avenue for China to strengthen its presence in the world’s fastest-growing region.
The US and Japan have not applied for the membership in the AIIB.
